Music at St. Stephen's

Beautiful music has the power to unite us, lift our spirits and bring us close to God in a way that words alone cannot always do. We enjoy singing hymns, and we have a lovely pipe organ, a rare treasure in Hong Kong. It was built by Pels and van Leuwen, a family-run organ builder in Holland. The organ was donated to the Chapel in 2003 by the Fung Foundation. Our organists are Jessie Lau and Henry Wheare. Liz Coupe is our Music Director.

Our choir sings for services on church festivals including Mothering Sunday, Harvest Festival and Remembrance Sunday. Each year our larger choir, St Stephen's Chorale, sings at our Christmas Lessons and Carols by candlelight, one of the highlights of the year. The photos here are from that service.  

We love to see the Chapel used for charity concerts and recitals. St Stephen's holds maximum 120 people. If you would like to hold a charity fundraising concert, please get in touch.
